What I learned from Me Ra Koh

Well the last two posts I have written about the amazing opportunity that I had when I attended a Me Ra Koh workshop. Me Ra Koh is a local photographer who just has such an amazing story about hope and really fighting for what she wanted. Her Husband Brian is also there helping with lots of technical questions and really just having a blast with all the females since the workshops are usually only for females.

What I learned from this experience truly was that I have to fight for what I want and that I can become a photographer.  You don’t have to be extremely smart with math or numbers to understand photography. They taught me how to shoot on manual in two days…. and really taught me about capturing those moments that can happen at any time.  She also taught about natural lighting. But truly what I got out of this experience was hope.  I felt refreshed, overwhelmed and excited.  I met so many lovely women there and we all shared many incredible stories.  I want to say a sincere thank you to Me Rah and Brian for continuing to teach this workshsops and inspiring so many women to pick up the camera and shoot!  Please check out her website and if given the chance take a workshop, it is so worth it!  I was amazed by what I was able to accomplish and I was even published twice on her own blog.
